The Department of Chemistry at Columbia University invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist appointment who will serve as the Mass Spectrometrist of its shared instrumentation facility. The facility consists of four new Mass Spectrometers including an SFC-QTOF, an SFC-quadrupole, and MALDI TOF/TOF. The candidate’s responsibilities include: collaborate with investigators to solve chemical problems, implement new technologies in the Center, measure submitted samples, direct user billing, instruct students in instrument operation, develop training procedures and guides, and teach Mass Spectrometry to students with diverse backgrounds.
