The recruitment weekends for students admitted for Fall 2023 will take place on March 7-9, 2024 and March 21-23, 2024.
Once you are admitted to the Chemistry or Chemical Physics graduate program at Columbia, you are invited to attend one of two visiting weekends held in February and March. This long weekend gives you the opportunity to meet and socialize with faculty and other members of the Department and the chance to learn more about attending graduate school in New York City.
The main events of visit weekend take place on Fridays, when you will have opportunities to meet with faculty members and visit their labs. Optional events on Thursdays and Saturdays will give you additional opportunities to get to know the Chemistry Department, the Columbia University campus and housing, and Manhattan. The optional events will include a campus tour, an apartment tour and an event in New York City.
As soon as you decide to visit Columbia, you should complete the Visiting Weekend Survey, sent with your letter of admission.
