Biography. Shuo was born and raised in Harbin, the city of ice and snow of China. She graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2009, where she worked on the synthesis of noble metal and hybrid metal nanomaterial in the lab of Prof. Shu-Hong Yu. She then began her graduate studies at Purdue University under the guidance of Prof. Mahdi M. Abu-Omar. Her Ph.D. work focused on catalytic transformations with oxorhenium and chromium complexes for deoxygenation of diols and selective reductionof dioxygen. In 2015 she started her postdoc research with Prof. Jack R. Norton.
