In this talk, I will focus on the development of a flexible, transparent OLED created by Liang et al. and the performance of this device in the larger context of future displays. Devices like these will likely be found in wearable electronics, interactive windows, and smart glasses in the near future. I will outline the challenges and requirements for developing flexible, transparent devices with a focus on AMOLEDs and thin-film transistors. I will also discuss the materials needed for these displays and how they function.
