I studied for my undergraduate in chemical engineering at IIT Bombay (2002- 2006). I did my PhD at Johns Hopkins University in chemical engineering with Dilip Asthagiri. I studied statistical mechanics of metal binding to proteins using molecular dynamics and quantum chemical calculations. I did a two-year postdoc with Sergei Maslov at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in evolutionary biology, and currently am a postdoc with Dennis Vitkup in systems/evolutionary biology at the medical school. I currently work on metabolism, signaling networks, and population genetics of bacterial evolution.
My other interests are maximum entropy methods and thermodynamics of small systems.
